Seller Terms & Fees

To sell on Kudosey, you must apply and be approved by our team. Approval is at Kudosey's sole discretion. You must be at least 13 years of age to apply as a seller. If you are under 18, you represent that you have obtained the consent of a parent or legal guardian and that your parent or guardian has reviewed and agrees to these Seller Terms on your behalf.

NSFW listings require you to be 18 or older. Regardless of the general minimum age, you must be at least 18 years of age to list any content tagged or eligible for NSFW tagging. By listing NSFW content, you certify that you meet this requirement.

You must have a valid email address and a connected Stripe account to receive payouts. Sellers in the EU may use PayPal as an alternative payout method. By applying as a seller, you represent that you are an independent contractor and not an employee, agent, or partner of Kudosey.

Kudosey is a marketplace focused on VRChat and virtual world content. Approved listing types include:

Kudosey supports a wide range of digital content including mature and adult-themed material, subject to the restrictions below. All content must be digital products intended for virtual reality or virtual content creation. These rules apply to how content is marketed, displayed, and sold on the platform.

Violation of these rules will result in immediate removal of your listing and may result in permanent termination of your seller account.

Kudosey charges a platform fee on every sale. The fee percentage depends on your membership tier. In addition, a $0.30 processing fee is collected from the buyer on every transaction.

In addition to the platform fee, Stripe charges a payment processing fee of 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction. This fee is absorbed by the seller and deducted from your payout automatically.

Payouts are processed through Stripe Connect. As merchant of record, Kudosey collects all buyer payments into the Kudosey Stripe balance. Funds from your sales are held for a period of 7 days after the transaction date to manage potential refunds and disputes, and are then transferred to your connected Stripe account minus the applicable fees described in Section 4. You can withdraw your available balance at any time through your seller dashboard once funds have cleared. Stripe's standard payout schedule then applies — cleared funds are typically available in your bank account within 2–7 business days depending on your bank and country.

Payout transfers are subject to any holds described in Sections 6 and 7. In the event of excessive chargebacks, refund rate violations, open disputes, or account termination, Kudosey may extend the standard holding period as needed to protect against future liabilities.

Because Kudosey cannot guarantee a fixed percentage of income from sales, any costs or fees incurred on your behalf — including chargebacks, refunds, payout fees, or payment processing fees — will be passed on to you and deducted from your future payouts until your balance is settled.

Kudosey monitors refund rates on a rolling 90-day basis to protect the platform and its buyers. If your refund rate exceeds the thresholds below, the following actions will be taken automatically:

Payout reserves are held for 90 days on a rolling basis to offset potential future refunds and chargebacks. Reserves will be released after your refund rate returns below the threshold and remains there for a full 90-day period.

Seller accounts with no login activity for 12 consecutive months are considered dormant. Kudosey will attempt to contact dormant account holders via the registered email address with a minimum of two (2) warning emails before taking further action.

After 18 months of inactivity, Kudosey reserves the right to charge a reasonable dormancy fee against any remaining balance. Balances under $10.00 USD may be forfeited after 18 months of inactivity. You are responsible for keeping your contact email up to date to receive these notices.

You retain full ownership of all content you sell on Kudosey. By listing on the platform, you grant Kudosey a limited, non-exclusive license to display your listing thumbnails, previews, and descriptions for the purpose of operating the marketplace.

You represent and warrant that you own or have the rights to sell all content listed on Kudosey, and that your listings do not infringe on any third-party intellectual property rights. You are solely responsible for any IP disputes arising from your listings. Kudosey may remove any listing subject to a valid DMCA takedown notice without prior notice to you.

Sellers who use artificial intelligence or machine learning tools in the creation of their content must clearly disclose this in their listing descriptions using Kudosey's designated AI label. This applies to both fully AI-generated content and content that is AI-assisted (e.g., AI-generated textures, AI-upscaled images, AI-written descriptions).

By uploading AI-generated content, you represent and warrant that: (a) the AI tools used were trained on legally obtained, properly licensed data; (b) the content does not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights; and (c) no unauthorized use of copyrighted material, trademarked content, or personal likenesses is present. Sellers remain fully liable for all AI-generated content they upload. Failure to properly disclose AI use may result in listing removal, account penalties, or termination.

Kudosey may require sellers to complete identity verification through our trusted third-party verification partners. Verification is required for sellers who:

Sellers who fail to complete required verification may have payouts suspended and content upload privileges restricted. Continued failure to verify may result in account termination. Kudosey does not store sensitive verification documents — verification data is handled according to our third-party partners' privacy policies.

Studios, agencies, or other legal entities that require a shared seller account may request a Business Account by contacting support@kudosey.com. Business Account requests must include proof of the entity's legal existence and authorization of the account administrator.

A Business Account is administered by a designated authorized representative ("Admin") who is responsible for all activity under the account. The Admin must ensure all users with access to the account comply with these Seller Terms. All obligations under these terms apply equally to Business Accounts.

Kudosey reserves the right to suspend or permanently terminate your seller account for any of the following reasons:

Upon termination, any pending payouts for completed orders will still be processed, subject to the conditions below. Kudosey may withhold pending payouts for a period of up to 90 days following termination to cover potential future chargebacks, refunds, or disputes related to your sales that may arise after the termination date. Any amounts owed to Kudosey — including outstanding chargeback costs, refund liabilities, or unpaid fees — will be deducted from withheld payouts before release. Any remaining balance after the 90-day period and resolution of all disputes will be transferred to your connected Stripe account.

As a seller on Kudosey, you represent the platform to buyers. You are expected to:

Kudosey may update these Seller Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email and in-platform announcements at least 7 days before changes take effect. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
