Welcome to Kudosey
By applying to become a seller and listing on Kudosey, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully. These terms exist to protect both you as a seller and your buyers. These Seller Terms are in addition to and incorporate Kudosey's Terms of Service.
To sell on Kudosey, you must apply and be approved by our team. Approval is at Kudosey's sole discretion. You must be at least 13 years of age to apply as a seller. If you are under 18, you represent that you have obtained the consent of a parent or legal guardian and that your parent or guardian has reviewed and agrees to these Seller Terms on your behalf.
NSFW listings require you to be 18 or older. Regardless of the general minimum age, you must be at least 18 years of age to list any content tagged or eligible for NSFW tagging. By listing NSFW content, you certify that you meet this requirement.
You must have a valid email address and a connected Stripe or PayPal account to receive payouts. Sellers may choose their preferred payout method during onboarding — Stripe is available globally, and PayPal is available as an alternative for eligible sellers. By applying as a seller, you represent that you are an independent contractor and not an employee, agent, or partner of Kudosey.
Kudosey is a marketplace focused on VRChat and virtual world content. Approved listing types include:
Kudosey supports a wide range of digital content including mature and adult-themed material, subject to the restrictions below. All content must be digital products intended for virtual reality or virtual content creation. These rules apply to how content is marketed, displayed, and sold on the platform.
The following content is permitted on Kudosey but must be tagged as NSFW. NSFW listings are hidden from users by default and only visible to users who have opted in via their account settings and verified their age.
Regardless of the nature of your content, all thumbnails and preview images displayed anywhere on the platform must be safe for all ages. This includes listing cards, profile pages, search results, and any other public-facing surface. Explicit or suggestive thumbnails will be removed immediately.

If you are unsure whether your content requires an NSFW tag, err on the side of caution and tag it. Misclassified content may result in listing removal or account suspension. Contact support@kudosey.com if you need guidance.
Violation of these rules will result in immediate removal of your listing and may result in permanent termination of your seller account.
Kudosey charges a platform fee on every sale, as a percentage of the listing price based on your membership tier. In addition, a $0.35 processing fee is collected from the buyer on every transaction to cover Kudosey's payment processing costs.
In addition to the platform fee, payment processors charge a transaction fee that is absorbed by the seller and deducted from your payout automatically:
The buyer processing fee and platform fee are deducted separately as described above.
For a $10.00 listing with no membership tier, using Stripe:
PayPal example: For a $10.00 listing using PayPal (US rates), the transaction fee would be 3.49% × $10.35 + $0.49 = $0.85. After the $0.35 processing fee retained by Kudosey and a $1.00 platform fee (10% of $10.00, Default tier), your gross payout balance would be $8.15. A 2% payout fee ($0.16) is withheld at transfer, resulting in a net payout of $7.99. International rates may vary — see PayPal's full fee schedule.
Payouts are processed through Stripe Connect or PayPal, depending on your selected payout method during onboarding. As merchant of record, Kudosey collects all buyer payments into the Kudosey balance.
When a sale is made, the following amounts are deducted from the total paid by the buyer (listing price + $0.35 processing fee) before any balance is credited to you:
The remaining amount is credited to your account as your gross payout balance and held for a period of 7 days after the transaction date to manage potential refunds and disputes.
Kudosey disburses payouts on Wednesdays. Your payout frequency depends on your membership tier:
A balance becomes eligible for disbursement once it has cleared the 7-day hold described above, and you meet the following requirements:
If your balance does not meet these requirements, or your tier's payout day has not yet arrived, it remains pending and will be included in the next eligible payout run. There is no time limit or penalty for a balance remaining pending. Changing your membership tier changes your payout frequency going forward, starting from your next eligible payout date.
Once eligible, Kudosey automatically transfers your available balance to your connected Stripe account or PayPal balance. At the time of this transfer, a payout fee of 2% of your gross payout balance is withheld, which covers bank transfer and processing costs. You can view your available and pending balances at any time through your seller dashboard. Once transferred, Stripe's standard payout schedule applies — cleared funds are typically available in your bank account within 2–7 business days depending on your bank and country. PayPal funds are available in your PayPal balance immediately after transfer.
Payout transfers are subject to any holds described in Sections 6 and 7. In the event of excessive chargebacks, refund rate violations, open disputes, or account termination, Kudosey may extend the standard holding period as needed to protect against future liabilities.

Any costs incurred due to chargebacks, refunds, or disputes will be deducted from your future payouts until your balance with Kudosey is settled.
Because Kudosey cannot guarantee a fixed percentage of income from sales, any costs or fees incurred on your behalf — including chargebacks, refunds, payout fees, or payment processing fees — will be passed on to you and deducted from your future payouts until your balance is settled.
If a buyer files a chargeback with their bank, the disputed amount will be debited from the Kudosey balance associated with your account (via Stripe or PayPal, depending on the payment method used). The $15.00 Stripe chargeback dispute fee will also be deducted from your seller balance. If your balance is insufficient to cover either amount, the shortfall will be collected from your future payouts. The dispute fee is non-refundable even if you win the dispute.
Accounts with 3 or more chargebacks within any 90-day period will be flagged for review and may be suspended or permanently terminated at Kudosey's sole discretion. Kudosey reserves the right to withhold payouts pending resolution of any open chargeback disputes.
All sales on Kudosey are final. You are not required to issue refunds. However, if you choose to issue a refund as a goodwill gesture, it must be arranged privately between you and the buyer. Refunds are processed through your Stripe dashboard and the cost is absorbed entirely by you.
If Kudosey issues a refund on your behalf — for example, where you are unresponsive to a buyer's legitimate issue as described in the Refund Policy — the refunded amount plus any non-recoverable processing fees will be deducted from your future payouts. Kudosey will notify you when such a deduction occurs.
Kudosey monitors refund rates on a rolling 90-day basis to protect the platform and its buyers. If your refund rate exceeds the thresholds below, the following actions will be taken automatically:
Payout reserves are held for 90 days on a rolling basis to offset potential future refunds and chargebacks. Reserves will be released after your refund rate returns below the threshold and remains there for a full 90-day period.
You retain full ownership of all content you sell on Kudosey. By listing on the platform, you grant Kudosey a limited, non-exclusive license to display your listing thumbnails, previews, and descriptions for the purpose of operating the marketplace.
You represent and warrant that you own or have the rights to sell all content listed on Kudosey, and that your listings do not infringe on any third-party intellectual property rights. You are solely responsible for any IP disputes arising from your listings. Kudosey may remove any listing subject to a valid DMCA takedown notice without prior notice to you.
Sellers who use artificial intelligence or machine learning tools in the creation of their content must clearly disclose this in their listing descriptions using Kudosey's designated AI label. This applies to both fully AI-generated content and content that is AI-assisted (e.g., AI-generated textures, AI-upscaled images, AI-written descriptions).
By uploading AI-generated content, you represent and warrant that: (a) the AI tools used were trained on legally obtained, properly licensed data; (b) the content does not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights; and (c) no unauthorized use of copyrighted material, trademarked content, or personal likenesses is present. Sellers remain fully liable for all AI-generated content they upload. Failure to properly disclose AI use may result in listing removal, account penalties, or termination.
Kudosey may require sellers to complete identity verification through our trusted third-party verification partners. Verification is required for sellers who:
Sellers who fail to complete required verification may have payouts suspended and content upload privileges restricted. Continued failure to verify may result in account termination. Kudosey does not store sensitive verification documents — verification data is handled according to our third-party partners' privacy policies.
Studios, agencies, or other legal entities that require a shared seller account may request a Business Account by contacting support@kudosey.com. Business Account requests must include proof of the entity's legal existence and authorization of the account administrator.
A Business Account is administered by a designated authorized representative ("Admin") who is responsible for all activity under the account. The Admin must ensure all users with access to the account comply with these Seller Terms. All obligations under these terms apply equally to Business Accounts.
Kudosey reserves the right to suspend or permanently terminate your seller account for any of the following reasons:
Upon termination, any pending payouts for completed orders will still be processed, subject to the conditions below. Kudosey may withhold pending payouts for a period of up to 90 days following termination to cover potential future chargebacks, refunds, or disputes related to your sales that may arise after the termination date. Any amounts owed to Kudosey — including outstanding chargeback costs, refund liabilities, or unpaid fees — will be deducted from withheld payouts before release. Any remaining balance after the 90-day period and resolution of all disputes will be transferred to your connected Stripe account.
As a seller on Kudosey, you represent the platform to buyers. You are expected to:
Kudosey may update these Seller Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email and in-platform announcements at least 7 days before changes take effect. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

These Seller Terms are part of your agreement with Kudosey. By listing on the platform, you agree to be bound by these terms and our Terms of Service, Refund Policy, and Kudos Program Terms.
