Key Principle
All sales are final. Kudosey is a digital marketplace — once a file is delivered or a service is completed, it cannot be un-received. If you have an issue with an order, please contact the seller directly first. If the issue cannot be resolved, you may escalate to Kudosey support within 14 days of purchase.
This Refund Policy governs all purchases made on the Kudosey platform. It applies to both Creations (instant digital downloads) and Services (commissioned work). By making a purchase on Kudosey, you agree to be bound by this policy.
Kudosey acts as the merchant of record for all transactions and connects buyers with independent creators. While we facilitate payments, refund decisions outside the circumstances defined below remain at the seller's discretion. All disputes must be escalated to Kudosey within 14 days of the original purchase date. No disputes will be accepted after this window.
All purchases on Kudosey are final and non-refundable. This applies to both Creations and Services. Digital goods cannot be returned once delivered, and commissioned work represents time and effort that cannot be undone.
This is consistent with industry-standard practice for digital marketplaces.
Notwithstanding the general "all sales final" policy, Kudosey may issue a refund under the following specific circumstances. Eligibility is determined solely by Kudosey on a case-by-case basis.
If you have not yet accessed, downloaded, or activated the purchased content in any way, you may be eligible for a refund. "Accessed" means any action that enables you to use, download, or otherwise benefit from the content — including but not limited to clicking a download link, receiving a delivery file, or activating a license.
Time limit: Requests under this section must be made within 14 days of purchase, consistent with the general dispute window described in Section 1. After 14 days, the content is presumed accessed and no refund will be issued. EU and UK consumers should also see Section 8 regarding the statutory right of withdrawal and how it applies to digital content purchases on Kudosey.
If a verified technical issue on Kudosey's side — such as a broken download link, duplicate charge, or failed delivery mechanism — prevents you from accessing content you have paid for, you may be eligible for a refund or re-delivery. Temporary outages do not qualify, provided reasonable efforts are made to restore access.

This subsection applies only to Service listings (commissioned work). Because Creations are delivered instantly as digital downloads, there is no ongoing seller work to be unresponsive about — issues with Creations are instead covered under Sections 3.1 and 3.2.
If you have a significant issue with a Service order and the seller fails to respond within 7 business days of your initial contact through the Kudosey messaging system, you may escalate to Kudosey support. What constitutes a "significant issue" is determined solely by Kudosey. This option is only available within the 14-day dispute window described in Section 1 — we recommend contacting the seller as soon as possible after your purchase so you retain the ability to escalate if the seller does not respond in time.
For all issues, your first step must always be to contact the seller directly through the Kudosey messaging system. Most issues can be resolved quickly this way. Sellers may choose to offer a refund or revision at their own discretion as a goodwill gesture. This is entirely up to the seller and is not guaranteed.
If a seller chooses to issue a voluntary refund, it must be processed through the Kudosey platform. The seller absorbs the full refund amount including any non-recoverable fees. Kudosey does not subsidize seller-initiated refunds.
If the seller is unresponsive or you cannot reach a resolution, escalate to Kudosey support at support@kudosey.com. Please include your order ID, a description of the issue, and any relevant correspondence with the seller. We aim to review and respond to escalated disputes as soon as possible; response times may vary depending on case complexity and support volume, and we do not commit to a fixed review timeframe. Kudosey will review escalated disputes on a case-by-case basis. We do not guarantee refunds but will work to reach a fair resolution where possible.
If Kudosey determines, in its sole discretion, that an escalated dispute was frivolous, made in bad faith, or filed without a good-faith attempt to resolve the issue with the seller first as required by Section 3.4, Kudosey reserves the right to deduct a dispute processing fee from any refund issued, or to decline the request entirely. Repeated frivolous disputes may also result in restrictions on your account's ability to make future purchases.
Service orders are automatically confirmed 3 days after delivery if the buyer has not confirmed receipt. Once confirmed, the order is no longer eligible for a platform-mediated refund. Note that "confirmed" is not the same as "paid out" — confirmation releases the refund hold on the order, but the seller's funds remain subject to the standard 7-day payout holding period described in the Seller Terms & Fees before they are transferred out. If you need additional time to review a delivered service before confirmation, you may request a one-time extension by contacting support@kudosey.com before the 3-day window expires. Extensions are granted at Kudosey's sole discretion.
For purchases made as a gift, only the original purchaser — the buyer who paid for the order — may request a refund. The gift recipient is not the buyer of record and cannot request a refund directly. All eligibility requirements and time limits described elsewhere in this Section 3 apply equally to gift purchases.
If a refund is approved for a gift purchase, the recipient's access to the gifted content will be revoked, consistent with Section 3.7 and the fee treatment described in Section 4.
Content purchased using a sale price, discount code, or Kudos coupon is subject to the same refund policy as any other purchase. Promotional or discounted pricing does not affect refund eligibility, and does not entitle you to a refund of the discount amount separately from the purchase itself. Where a refund is approved, only the amount actually paid is eligible per Section 4 — the value of any discount applied is not itself refundable, since it was never charged to you.
If Kudosey confirms that a listing violates our Terms of Service — for example, through a successful DMCA claim, confirmed intellectual property infringement, malicious file content, or a fundamental misrepresentation of the listing — Kudosey may issue a refund to affected buyers at its discretion, even outside the 14-day window described in Section 1. Refunds under this section are reviewed and issued manually and are not guaranteed or automatic.
You may request a refund for an eligible recent purchase at any time before you voluntarily close your account, in accordance with the eligibility rules in this Section 3. Once your account has been closed — whether voluntarily by you or through termination by Kudosey for a violation of our Terms — no further refund requests will be accepted for past purchases.
Once a refund is approved, we begin processing it as soon as possible. The time it takes for the funds to actually appear back in your account depends on your payment method and provider (such as your card issuer, bank, or PayPal) and is outside of Kudosey's control — we do not guarantee a fixed processing timeframe.
Approved refunds cover only the listing price paid. Processing, platform, and payment processor fees are non-refundable, as described in Section 4. Upon a refund being processed, your access to the refunded content is revoked and any associated license is terminated.
The following fees are collected on every transaction. Processing, platform, and payment processor fees (Stripe or PayPal) are non-refundable to the buyer under any circumstances — these are retained by Kudosey and the respective payment processor to cover processing costs and are not returned even in cases where a listing price refund is granted. Only the listing price itself is conditionally eligible for refund per the terms in Section 3.

Filing a chargeback with your bank or card issuer without first contacting Kudosey support may result in the following actions:
Accounts where chargebacks are determined to be legitimate will be reinstated. Kudosey's goal is to resolve genuine payment disputes — not to punish legitimate concerns. Contacting us first is always the fastest path to resolution.
Note that sellers who receive chargebacks are also subject to consequences under our Seller Terms & Fees, including potential payout holds and account review.
We monitor all transactions for patterns of abuse including fraudulent chargebacks, false claims, and coordinated abuse. Any account found to be abusing the platform will be permanently terminated. Kudosey reserves the right to share transaction information with payment processors, card networks, and law enforcement as required.
Sellers who experience excessive chargebacks or refund rates may have their accounts suspended or their payouts held. See our Seller Terms & Fees for details on seller chargeback liability and refund rate thresholds.
We may update this Refund Policy at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email and in-platform announcements at least 7 days before taking effect. The version of this policy in effect at the time of your purchase governs that transaction.
For EU and UK consumers: You have the right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days of placing your order, provided you have not begun downloading or accessing the digital content.
By completing your purchase, you expressly consent to the immediate delivery of the digital content and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once the content is delivered.
